DAY 1: Nairobi
Meet on arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi and transferred to Lotos Hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at the Lotos Hotel on bed and breakfast basis.
DAY 2: Nairobi – Samburu (320 kms – approx. 5 hrs 17 m)
Depart from Nairobi after breakfast and drive to Samburu. The Samburu National Reserve is a game reserve on the banks of the Ewaso Ng’iro river in Kenya. There is a wide variety of animal and bird life seen at Samburu National Reserve. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge. Overnight at Samburu Simba Lodge (BLD).
DAY 3: Samburu Simba
After breakfast depart to the park for a game drive. Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch. All three big cats, the lion, cheetah and African leopard can also be found here, as well as the elephant, Cape buffalo and hippopotamus. Other mammals frequently seen in the park include olive baboon, warthogs, Grant’s gazelle, Kirk’s dik-dik, impala, and waterbuck. Overnight at Samburu Simba Lodge (BLD).
DAY 4: Samburu – The Ark(202 kms – approximately 3 hrs 47 min)
After an early breakfast we leave behind the beauty and tranquility of Samburu and drive to the quirky and iconic- The Ark where you arrive by lunch time. An afternoon game drive in the Aberdares National Park should be great. The Ark overlooks a floodlit waterhole and salt lick, which attracts a host of awesome wildlife. Modeled after Noah’s Ark, The Ark has four viewing decks with balconies and lounges to provide superb game viewing from the comfort of the lodge. The animals come to you! DAY 5: The Ark – Lake Naivasha(210 kms – approximately 3 hrs 47min).
After breakfast drive to the beautiful and serene Lake Naivasha. Lake Naivasha is a beautiful freshwater lake, fringed by thick papyrus. The lake and its surroundings are rich in natural bounty, These forests abound with bird life, and Naivasha is known as a world class birding destination. Overnight at Naivasha Simba (BLD).
DAY 6: Lake Naivasha – Masai Mara (235 kms – approx. 4 hrs 35 min).
After breakfast, proceed to the most popular game reserves in Africa- the Masai Mara National Reserve. Masai Mara is the best place to see the “Big Five” animals (elephants, lions, leopards, rhinos and buffalo) together. The famous wildebeest migration also takes place at the Mara.
Overnight at Mara Simba (BLD).
DAY 7: Masai Mara
After breakfast proceed for the morning game drive and enjoy the beautiful savannah. Overnight at Mara Simba (BLD).
DAY 8: Depart
After breakfast you will be transferred to the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward flight. Lunch or dinner on this day is not included. (B)
